Post Halloween Post

Hello again! I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween yesterday!

Ours was pretty cool. We did a small Halloween party at the house with some friends. My daughter didn't really have an interest in trick-or-treating this year. I was cool with that since things are still a little crazy with Covid and stuff. Plus, I got to stay home and have fun! Yay for staying home!! In case you couldn't tell, I am a home body!

My daughter and I usually like to make our own costumes, or at least add our own touch to them if they are store-bought. This year, she wanted to be Coraline and for me to be the Other Mother. This was our original plan. (I really love that she includes me in her costume choice!) But we couldn't find a yellow rain coat in time, plus we couldn't figure out the best way to do the hair just right. Then, she wanted to be Gumball from "The Amazing World of Gumball" and for me to be Gumball's mother. But this would have required us to paint our whole face and she wasn't feeling that. So, she ended up choosing Penelope from "Wreck It Ralph." I, on the other hand could not figure anything out for me, which feels like a missed opportunity because I love costumes and make-up! Here is my daughter and our last-minute Penelope costume

Some of the costume was a little off on the colors. But I think we did ok for a last-minute look. What do you think?

I'd love to see some of your costumes and hear about some of your Halloween traditions! Please share!
